Spanish 2 Practice

Commands: Conjugate the following verbs into the appropriate command format
  • matar-Uds.
  • disparar-tú
  • Correr-Ud.
  • disparar-Uds.
  • matar-tú
  • correr-tú
Past Progressive: Translate the phrase using the past progressive tense
  • They were fighting.
  • We were fleeing.
  • She was crying
  • He was shooting.
Conjugate the verb ser in the preterit and the imperfect tenses.


Differentiate the translation of each verb between the preterit and the imperfect:
  • era vs. fue
  • llegó vs. llegaba
  • estuvo vs. estaba
  • quiso vs. quería
  • tomó vs. tomaba


Identify whether each trigger word is for the preterit or the imperfect:
  • De repente
  • Generalmente
  • A veces
  • Ayer
  • Anoche
  • Generalmente
  • Entonces

Differentiate when you use the verb 'tener' and when you use the formula 'tener que + infinitive'
Differentiate when you use the verbs 'ser' and 'estar'


Ir a + Infinitive: Translate the following sentences using this formula. Decide if you are only using the verb 'ir' or if the entire formula is needed.
  • We are going to go to the market.
  • They are going to run.
  • You go to school in the morning.
  • I go to the doctor's office.
